Pan African Collective’ 5th Annual Prayer Breakfast Theme: “Prayer, Perseverance & Progress: Commemorating 400 Years of Slavery & Beyond”
The Pan African Collective (PAC) 5th Annual Prayer Breakfast will celebrate African American advancement in America and economic development in Africa, looking beyond the 400-year milestone of the commemoration of the first Africans being brought to America as slaves in 1619. Speakers will recognize the 400-year milestone and will update from both an African American and African perspective, current progress and future projects. Our confirmed speakers are Nemata Blyden, Ph.D., Associate Professor of History and International Affairs at the George Washington University Columbian College of Arts and Sciences and His Excellency Kerfalla Yansane, Ambassador of Guinea to the Unites States.
PAC’s mission is to build bridges of understanding, forge diverse partnerships, promote development in Africa and the African Diaspora, foster economic empowerment and to promote social development. Partnering with local churches, PAC has treated over 15,000 persons on its Medical Mission trips to Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Malawi and Haiti. They have founded and support a primary and secondary school educating 600 children from Internally Displaced Camps (IDP) in the DRC.
The Prayer Breakfast will be Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Riderwood Senior Campus, Maryland Hall, (Montgomery Station) - 3120 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD.
